In less than 12 hours I will be on my way to the airport. I'm not sure what to say.... It is a very somber household right now. The boys both made me special goodbye pictures. They most definitely will be going with me. It's too bad I can't take them!
I made my favorite dinner, German Style Spaghetti, for my last meal at home. It is almost done. Today was a ridiculously busy day. Running errands and packing. Still not done packing. Close though. I think I am ready. Passport and visa in hand, itineraries printed, converters/adapters ready, clothes rolled and packed, wrestled with the boys, saw family, bank withdrawal made. There isn't much more. Goodbyes to the boys come tonight. That will not be fun. Even thinking about it makes me choke back tears.
Jenn sent out an email to just about everyone with the link to this blog. Hopefully you guys followed it and are now reading this! As of now, I have 7 followers. Perhaps more?? I plan on posting at least once a day while I am there, with lots of pictures included. My next post will be from the airport as I await the 12 and a half hour flight to Beijing. Thankfully I will have the help of Ambien to sleep most of that away and get closer to being on China time, which is 16 hours ahead of here. Yikes. Wish me luck!
Aw German Spaghetti, my favorite that you make! Have a safe trip Hooker Friend & I promise to take Jenn & the boys out to fun dinners & stuff while you're gone to keep everyone busy & not sad. I'll email every day! :) Hugs, Margaritaville
